Sympathy cards

Information

Last summer I spent a few peaceful afternoons creating a small collection of sympathy cards for my craft stall. These two were among my favourites — gentle designs with soft colours and calm details. I’ve always felt that sympathy cards should offer comfort without being overwhelming, and these came together in a way that felt just right.

The Designs

With Sympathy

A deep maroon background with a white tree silhouette, a soft purple heart behind it, and a gold dotted border for a little warmth. Finished with a simple “With Sympathy” label.
Sorry For Your Loss
A neutral beige base with a brown tree design, decorated with small floral embellishments. Soft, natural tones and a clean “Sorry For Your Loss” sentiment.
Both were priced at £2.50 for my craft stall.

Craft Stall Season

From spring through summer, I set up my own craft stall — table, displays, and all my handmade cards. It’s always a lovely feeling seeing people stop and choose something handmade. These sympathy cards were part of that collection, and they always seemed to draw gentle attention. I’ve even got a photo of my outdoor craft table from last year, which I’ll be adding to the blog soon.

Why I Enjoy Making Sympathy Cards

There’s something meaningful about creating something soft and respectful for someone going through a difficult moment. I keep the designs calm, the colours muted, and the messages simple. It’s a category I feel naturally connected to when I’m crafting.
